Middle School/High School Sacrament(s) Preparation Program:  Baptism, Reconciliation and First Eucharist

This sacramental program prepares older students in grades 6 through high school who have either no formal religious experience or limited religious experience. These classes are scheduled with the young person, parents, or a parent, and the Children’s Faith Formation Coordinator. The candidate is also required to enroll in the Middle School and or High School Programs for a broader experience of community with students their own age. The Sacrament of Confirmation preparation takes place within the High School Program.

This program allows for flexibility for young people of varied religious experiences and backgrounds to be prepared in an age appropriate setting.  Enrollment in the program occurs throughout the year.  Each person responds to God’s call at different times— all are welcome.

Day and Time:  Sundays, 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Place:  St Mary’s Faith Formation Center – 2039 Mt. Diablo Blvd. Walnut Creek
Program Duration:  September through May
Requirements:  Youth sixth grade through high school desiring to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation and Eucharist and who have not been attending formal religious education classes for at least two years.  In addition, enroll in the Middle School or High School Programs.
